Social Media Specialist | Marketing/Communications Team

Remote | Full Time

The Social Media Specialist is a key member of our communications team. In this position, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive social media strategy٫ aimed at increasing our web traffic and our brand awareness.

You will be partnering closely with various departments for B2B and B2C outreach to set priorities, define social media strategy and drive our positioning through a variety of content and across all social channels. 

 

This role is a great fit for a strategic thinker who is motivated to influence strategy through data, able to creatively market current and future products, and can help us continue to tell our story through refining our value proposition to our customers. 

 

The role reports to the Sr. Director, Communications and is a remote position

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain social media tools to ensure they provide needed capabilities 
  • Create monthly editorial calendars
  • Utilize social strategies to deliver Zonda’s brand message in creative ways
  • Measure and monitor to determine which initiatives work best and capitalize on this information to continue scaling the business
  • Create a social media campaign/plan to increase followers across all platforms
  • Manage, create and publish original, high-quality content
  • Collaborate and communicate with writers and designers to ensure content is appealing and informative for the reader
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product development teams to create social ‘buzz’ regarding new product launches
  • Prepare weekly and monthly reports on web traffic and ROI
  • Communicate with industry professionals via social media to create a strong network
  • Stay up-to-date with new digital technologies and social media best practices

 

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience in marketing and communications, specifically in a social media role
  • Undergraduate degree in a Marketing and/or Communications discipline
  • Ability to think strategically while having strong business judgment
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication skills and excellent storytelling ability to an executive audience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and launch social tactics and campaigns 
  • Comfort with fast-paced environments and strong problem solving
  • Inclusive and can-do attitude that adds to our culture
  • Proven work experience as a social media strategist or social media manager
  • Hands on experience using social media for brand awareness
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics and how to apply these
  • Ability to identify target audience preferences and produce content to meet these preferences
