At Zonda, we put a lot of emphasis on our engineering culture. As Director of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for using prior experience to positively influence the development practices of your team. You will have a passion for helping your
team to realise their potential and nurture their development through code reviews, mentoring and coaching. You will aim to empower your team through servant leadership and support change where required

 

The successful Engineer candidate will join the scrum/kanban team responsible for building and maintaining Zonda’s media websites, lead generation and online learning platforms. 

 

This is a full-time, remote position, with preference of candidates on Pacific Time Zone. Occasional travel may be required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Design and development of cloud-hosted web applications for the real estate industry from high-level architecture and network infrastructure to low-level creation of app layout, user experience, database schema, data structure, workflow, graphics, unit testing, an end to end integration testing, etc.
  • Secure, monitor, and manage Zonda’s product infrastructure on the cloud
  • Orchestrating and automating the cloud-based platform
  • Responsible for the planning, implementation, and growth of the cloud infrastructure
  • Working in tandem with the team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions
  • Build, release, and manage the configuration of all production systems
  • Manage a continuous integration and deployment methodology for server-based technologies
  • Ability to swiftly adjust to changing priorities
  • Fix application issues and code irregularities

Requirements:

Experience:

  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Cloud Engineering
  • Must have experience in Modern JavaScript Frameworks (e.g. Angular10+, Node.js, SQL Server and JIRA)
  • Some experience with ReactJS, CSS, .Net, AWS, and MongoDB

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Object Oriented Programming (OOP) Languages
  • Solid grasp of web and backend application development
  • Proficiency in script development and scripting languages
  • Familiarity with Responsive Designs
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in continuous integration build tools (Confluence, GIT-Bitbucket, Maven, Gradle, Grunt, Gulp, is a plus)
  • Experience with unit and automation testing (Jasmine, Protractor)
  • Experience working with Agile methodologies

Education:

  • Degree in a technical discipline (i.e. computer science, engineering, mathematics, etc.) or equivalent experience.
